What is Roositude knitting?

Roositude is an Estonian knitting technique that has the appearance of embroidery. It is created by intentional floats in contrasting yarn on the right side of your knitting.

The name Roosimine means "to decorate with roses". It comes from a style of short stitch embroidery done on the Estonian island of Muhu. This technique can be called both Roosimine and Roositud. Roosimine is the verb or action of performing the technique while Roositud refers to the final product.
